How does it work?
Relatively simple, a plastic sheet is heated to a pliable state. Once softened, the sheet is forced against a mold of the desired shape using either a vacuum to pull the sheet onto the mould (vacuum forming) or high pressure air to force the plastic onto the mould (pressure forming). The plastic cools on the mould and the desired shape is acheived.
